DIN 79007-1:2019-03 contains in three different parts the requirements and test methods for<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Shot and throwing circles<\/li><li>Shot put toe board<\/li><li>Protective net systems<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The scope of application here applies <strong>indoors and outdoors<\/strong> for the disciplines of <strong>shot put, discus throw and hammer throw.<\/strong> In the following we give the essential technical definitions for the shot and throwing circles, which concern our products.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-button-wrapper gb-button-wrapper-58e9a944\">\n\n<a class=\"gb-button gb-button-63c04665 gb-button-text\" href=\"https:\/\/shop-en.artec-sportgeraete.de\/kategorie\/sports-ground-supplies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click here to go directly to the online shop!<\/a>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-functional-requirements\">Functional requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-for-the-impact-and-throwing-area\">for the impact and throwing area<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The functional requirements for the various throwing circles basically define that there must be <strong>at least six attachment points<\/strong> outside the circular ring for attaching aids for <strong>persons with special needs<\/strong>. These can be located, for example, in the inspection shafts, which in turn can be implemented as part of the enclosure of the throwing rings. It is recommended that additional mounting options also be placed in the throwing sector (near the impact\/throwing circle).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-und-Diskusringe-aus-Beton-mit-Verkrallnut.jpg\" alt=\"Shot put circles and discus circles made of concrete with crimping notch\" class=\"wp-image-28302\" title=\"Shot put circles and discus circles made of concrete with crimping notch\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-und-Diskusringe-aus-Beton-mit-Verkrallnut.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-und-Diskusringe-aus-Beton-mit-Verkrallnut-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-und-Diskusringe-aus-Beton-mit-Verkrallnut-768x522.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All covers must in principle be able to be permanently coated with the surrounding sports surface at the same level and an opening for removing the cover is mandatory. It is additionally specified that there must be a permanently visible center point marking that is not merely superficially applied. The center marking may not be more than 5 mm from the center of the butt and throw area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>following properties<\/strong> are specified for <strong>concrete impact and throwing surfaces<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The concrete shall conform to monitoring class 2 and strength class C40\/50 with high water penetration resistance<\/li><li>Water\/cement ratio (fresh concrete): w\/z \u2264 0.4<\/li><li>Exposure class (type of damaging effects):<ul><li>XC Reinforcement corrosion: XC4 change wet and dry<\/li><li>XF concrete attack by frost: XF3 high water saturation without de-icing agent<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Slip resistance value:<ul><li>Pendulum value (PTV, en: SRT) according to DIN EN 13036-4 between 70 and 90<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>The impact and throwing surface must be grouted homogeneously<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The dimensional requirements for the various throwing rings are specified as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Shot put: diameter = 2.135 mm (\u00b15 mm)<\/li><li>Discus throw: diameter = 2.500 mm (\u00b15 mm)<\/li><li>Hammer throw: diameter = 2.135 mm (\u00b15 mm)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With regard to the <strong>evenness of the shot put circles, discus circles and hammer throw circles<\/strong>, it must be ensured that at a test distance of one meter, a gauge of 3 mm is not exceeded (cf. DIN 18202:2013-4, table 3). According to IAAF and DLV rules, a maximum inclination of 0.5% is permissible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-functional-technical-requirements\">Functional technical requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-for-the-edging\">for the edging<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The surface of the edging must have the same friction and evenness requirements as the throwing and impact surface itself (this requirement does not apply to the fastening device of the impact bar) and the upper edge of the edging must be level with the upper edge of the circular ring. The requirements for the strength of the edging and the throwing or impact circle are congruent. An important new feature is that a <strong>locking groove to the floor covering is considered useful for the edging.<\/strong> This is intended to reliably prevent the plastic flooring from pulling away at the point where it joins the surround. This new <strong>TARGET regulation for shot put circles, discus circles and hammer throw circles<\/strong> was already taken up and technically implemented by artec a few years ago. Please also compare the following drawing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"546\" height=\"143\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossring-und-Diskuswurfring-mit-Verkrallnut.jpg\" alt=\"Shot put circle and discus throwing circle with crimping notch\" class=\"wp-image-28303\" title=\"Shot put circle and discus throwing circle with crimping notch\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossring-und-Diskuswurfring-mit-Verkrallnut.jpg 546w, https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossring-und-Diskuswurfring-mit-Verkrallnut-300x79.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 546px) 100vw, 546px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to attach impact beams, there must be a suitable fixture in the direction of impact, with the impact beam flush with the inner radius of the circular ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-functional-technical-requirements-1\">Functional-technical requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-for-the-circle-ring-and-the-hammer-throw-insert-ring\">for the circle ring and the hammer throw insert ring<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In principle, the shot put circles, discus circles and hammer throw circles can be made of aluminum, steel or other materials. Here, however, a clear recommendation is made for aluminum due to its corrosion properties. For materials other than aluminum, the comparable limit value of impact resistance to F25 can be achieved with aluminum. In the case of steel circular rings, corrosion protection (e.g. hot-dip galvanizing) is necessary. The visible edges of the circular ring must not be sharp. A chamfer or edge radius of between 0.05 mm and 1 mm is specified for this purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"554\" height=\"499\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-Diskusringe-Hammerwurfringe-mit-Verkrallnut.jpg\" alt=\"Shot put circles Discus circles Hammer throw circles with crimping groove\" class=\"wp-image-28300\" title=\"Shot put circles Discus circles Hammer throw circles with crimping groove\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-Diskusringe-Hammerwurfringe-mit-Verkrallnut.jpg 554w, https:\/\/www.artec-sportgeraete.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Kugelstossringe-Diskusringe-Hammerwurfringe-mit-Verkrallnut-300x270.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 554px) 100vw, 554px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The DIN defines that the hammer throwing insert ring cannot break or splinter if a hammer falls on the insert ring. The hammer throw-in insert ring can consist of several components, which are solid or designed as hollow bodies. In this case, the connections must be force-fit and form-fit. Edge protection is recommended for hammer throw insert rings made of wood. The dimensions of the insert ring are specified as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Height: 20 \u00b1 1 mm<\/li><li>Outer diameter: 2.490 \u00b1 5 mm<\/li><li>Inner diameter: 2.135 \u00b1 5 mm<\/li><li>Chamfer or edge radius: 0.05 mm to 1 mm\u00b1 1 mm (on each side)<\/li><li>Thickness of the edge protection of the insert ring: at least 6 mm<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The new <strong>DIN for shot put circles, discus circles and hammer throw circles<\/strong> specifies the technical requirements for the throwing disciplines and defines them to a uniform, comparable technical standard.
