Closed rear frame
Instead of a net, you can choose a fixed and closed rear frame made of aluminium struts. The advantage of a closed rear frame made of aluminium struts is durability, because the struts are welded to the gate and can therefore withstand a high load. There are different types of closed rear frames that you can choose from:
- Rear wall filled with sand: The round profiles on the back of the recreational goal can be filled with sand, which reduces the noise produced by the impact of the football.
- Back wall with target training board: The back wall of the goal can also be constructed in such a way that two openings with a diameter of approx. 50 cm are created. These are placed at the top left and bottom right. Thus the goal can also be used as a football target training board.
- Back wall with sand filling and target training board: Both possibilities can also be combined with each other, so that the goal can be used as a target training board, but the noise is still reduced.
Vandalism-proof nets
Hercules net/ goal net made of Hercules rope: The other possibility is to use a Hercules net instead of a closed rear frame. This consists of a braided polyester line reinforced by a steel core. This steel core makes it much more difficult to destroy the net. Therefore, the Hercules net is more suitable for public places than a conventional football net. In addition, the Hercules net has another advantage over the closed rear frame, because the impact of the ball on the Hercules net is much quieter than the impact of a ball on the rear frame.
Size and safety
The goal with basketball hoop is available in the standard size 3 x 2 metres and an oval profile of 100 x 120 millimetres. The upper net depth varies between 0.80 metres and 1.00 metre depending on the goal. The lower net depth is 1.00 metre.
For a safe game, it is important that you properly secure the goals with basketball hoop. This is ensured by ground anchor ground sockets, which are placed in a concrete foundation in the ground, because the goal is firmly anchored to the ground by the ground sockets. This protects the goal from tipping over.
The basketball attachment
The target board
For the target board the customer can choose between two different variants. On the one hand there is the aluminium target board. This has a wall thickness of 8 millimetres. The advantage of an aluminium target board is that it is very robust and weatherproof. On the other hand, the target board can be made of mesh wire. The advantage of this variant is that it reduces the noise when the ball hits the board. The size of the target board is 1.20 x 0.90 metres.
The basket
As a standard, the basket is made of solid steel and fitted with ring eyelets. As the surface of the basket is hot-dip galvanised, it is protected against rust. The baskets are permanently installed, which has the small disadvantage that the basket may bend downwards if the load is too high.
The basket net
For the goal with basketball hoop there is also only one version of the basket net available. The net is a chain net made of steel and thus protected against vandalism. Here too, the surface is hot-dip galvanised and thus protected against rust.
On request, both the basket and the basket net can be manufactured in another variant.
