The ecological, energy-efficient sports facility is an important topic for the future against the background of the worldwide consumption of resources and energy as well as the current climate debate. Therefore, we are even more pleased to be involved in the current project of SV 1908 Grün-Weiss Ahrensfelde as a supplier and project partner for sports equipment and sports facilities. for the ecological, energy-efficient sports facility of the future
The construction project in Ahrensfelde for an ecological, energy-efficient sports facility is a unique pilot project in Europe, which will serve as a master plan for future sports facilities. After the SV 1908 Grün-Weiss Ahrensfelde received the promise of funding for the expansion of the sports facility a good three years ago, it has now been possible to finally secure the implementation of the construction measure with the support of the municipality of Ahrensfelde. The basis of the project for the ecological, energy-efficient sports facility is a high-quality planning process that underlies the expansion of the sports facility on Ulmenstraße.
The overall goal of the construction project is to develop a sports facility that takes into account ecological, social, and economic factors and complies with sustainability principles while being compatible with the requirements for sports functionality and intensity of use. After the concept has been drawn up and the contracts have been publicly awarded, a group of experts has now been formed from the partners acquired. hese include Ahner Landschaftsarchitektur, INSPO (Institut für kommunale Sportentwicklungsplanung), Schmitt Intergreen GmbH, Polytan GmbH, members of the International Association of Sports and Leisure Facilities IAKS as well as the experts from artec Sportgeräte. All have a common goal: the ecological, energy-efficient sports facility of the future!
Holistic consideration of sports facilities
over the entire life cycle
The focus of the project is on a holistic view of a sports facility over its entire life cycle. The sustainable development of sports facilities is at the center of the endeavors, so that in addition to current legal regulations and the latest construction standards, innovations in particular are applied that have not yet been considered in sports facilities in this form. In summary, the following equipment, among others, is used for the ecological, energy-efficient sports facility in Ahrensfelde:
- Building materials with a maximum possible use of materials from the resource cycle (recycled materials, emission reduction, etc.)
- Water saving through the use of state-of-the-art sports surfaces
- Prevention of surface sealing through permanently water-permeable construction methods
- Purification of drainage water with a mineral filter system
- Drainage system made of recycled materials
- Integration of compensation areas for insects and wildflowers to promote biodiversity
- Artificial turf made to a large extent from residual materials from agricultural production
- Running track surface made from recycled materials using a binder that removes CO2 from the environment during production
- Installation of a dimmable LED lighting system with comparatively lower power consumption and longer service life
- Smart training: a state-of-the-art training system is implemented in the running track and artificial turf for performance diagnostics
- Waste separation system for the best possible, practical disposal of waste generated, including sensitization of athletes and visitors
Future project in Ahrensfelde
