Assembly of special safety covers
in Fribourg in Switzerland
Recently we delivered two special safety covers with swiveling wheels for a pole vault facility and a high jump facility to Fribourg in Switzerland. Our scope of delivery at the Saint-Léonard stadium also included the assembly of the safety covers on site, so that an artec assembly team traveled to Switzerland for the set-up. The order for delivery and assembly has been placed by our long-time partner VOGASPORT AG.
The mobile safety cover for the pole vaulting facility is completely made of aluminum in a three-part design and is characterized by its special construction: Due to the limited space at the sports facility in Fribourg, the three elements of the safety cover can be moved inside each other. For this purpose, the three aluminum elements have been designed at different heights so that the safety cover takes up as little space as possible during training or even during competitions. The size of the pole vault landing areas to be covered is 8.0 x 6.0 x 1.0 m. In order to optimally protect the pole vault landing area, the safety cover is additionally equipped with perforated plates for ventilation slots, which guarantee an optimal climate for the mat at all times. For optimal movability, the aluminum elements are equipped with pivoting wheels. The mobile safety cover for the high jump facility was supplied by us in a two-part design and also assembled on site. Here, too, perforated plates with ventilation slots as well as pivoting wheels are included in the scope of delivery.

After we technically redesigned our safety covers last year, the covers in Fribourg have already been delivered in the technically redesigned version with a curved design. The installation on site was done by one of our experienced installation teams, which was not deterred by the winter weather with wind and snow. hus, the landing areas in Fribourg are now excellently protected, so that an optimal durability of the mats is guaranteed for the next years.

Our safety covers withstand the highest loads on sports facilities and are characterized by their quick and easy operation.
