with highest safety for hammer and discus throw
We at artec® Sportgeräte put great importance to the safety of our hammer cages and discus cages because we care about the well-being of the athletes, their helpers, the judges and the audience. Therefore, we only use high-quality and exceptionally stable and durable aluminium profiles which are especially manufactured for the hammer throwing cages (7 m rising up to 10 m) using sailing mast profiles 142 x 98 mm with reinforced walls (4/6 mm). For the safety nets we only use high-quality nets to best accommodate the safety aspect.
The technical design and production of the throwing cages is based on static calculations (based on the location of the company site in Melle) to a wind velocity of 10 m/s (for other locations the local wind loads have to be considered). For wind velocities of more than 10 m/s the safety nets have to be lowered due to the occurring forces.

Our cages for hammer and discus throw are of course provided with all required IAAF Certificates for the use in national and international tournaments. Therefore, our throwing cages are used on almost every continent in famous major events such as the South Asian Championships, the All Africa Games or the Pan American Games. Furthermore, the artec® throwing cages can be found with increasing tendency in big stadiums such as King Abdullah Sports City in Saudi Arabia.

The high product quality of the hammer cages and discus cages is developed at artec® Sportgeräte by a competent and technically experienced team and ensured in the manual production at the company’s site in Melle. By using consequent incoming inspections, state-of-the-art production methods, such as for example laser technology, as well as internal quality controls and approvals of the products ready to dispatch, we make sure that only high-quality throwing cages which have been developed and produced based on the latest technological standards leave our production site!
