Low goals for junior soccer
Goal reduction to 1.65 metres
Have you heard about the goal reduction? Youth goals shall be reduced in height in the future. The reason for this is that the goalkeeper often has no chance of defending high balls due to his height. So, with the help of the goal reduction, shots from the centre line can no longer land just under the crossbar without the goalkeeper not being able to catch it.
The goal reduction leads to positive effects in terms of the game and the individual performance of the players: shots from a distance can be reduced in the game. Instead, the players are able to score goals in a clever way and anticipate them. The young soccer players’ technique and game intelligence are thus encouraged. Passing and positional play become more important, which also has good long term training effects. The relatively small intervention of reducing the size of the goal thus has a quick and direct effect on the playing skills of the players.
The soccer goals for the F-juniors are simply too high in relation to their height. To give the goalkeeper a better chance of defending the ball, the youth goals, which measure 5 x 2 metres, are to be reduced to a height of about 1.65 metres. The goal reduction with a height of about 33 centimetres makes this possible without any problems.
Goal reduction from artec®
artec® Sportgeräte has two products for goal reduction in its range. Both products have in common that they can be quickly and easily mounted on crossbar and posts. No further tools are required, so that the height of the goal can be easily reduced during play and training. Both products reduce the size of the youth goals for about 33 centimetres.

The products offered by artec® Sportgeräte differ regarding the material. The goal reduction made of belt webbing in the colour orange has larger meshes with a dimension of 20 x 10 centimetres. The belt itself has a width of 2.5 centimetres. The product is fastened with quick-release fasteners that ensure optimal handling. The goal reduction made of PVC mesh fabric with a net thickness of 295 gr/m2 comes in the colour red / black and is attached to the soccer goal via Velcro fasteners. In both cases, the goal reduction can be attached tightly to the goal so that tension is built up.
Youth goals
the artec® product lines
The goal reduction concerns the youth goals in the size of 5 x 2 metres. artec® Sportgeräte offers a wide range of youth goal variants so that you can get the perfect product for your sports facility. The gates differ in various technical details, which are described below:
Product line / net suspension: The youth goals are available in the premium and easytec version. The premium youth goal includes a milled-in net suspension. The goal from the easytec product line is cost-optimised. By making small changes, you get a reduced-priced product, which, however, still convinces with the well-known artec® quality. The difference in this case concerns the net suspension. The net is attached to the goal using safety net hooks.

Various technical versions
Type of installation: artec® has free-standing goals in its range. These can be purchased with wheels so that the goal can be moved lengthways or widthways. It should be noted that in this case an anti-tip device is necessary to ensure the safety of any persons involved. Furthermore, the youth goals can also be firmly anchored in the ground in ground sockets. The goal is thus extraordinarily stable on the field, but cannot be moved around the sports facility.
Construction: The youth goals are available either in fully welded construction or as a partially welded product. In the second case, the goal and the base frame are delivered in one piece and only need to be screwed together on site.
Goal depths: The youth goals have an upper depth of 0.8 meters. The lower depth may vary depending on the product: We offer standard depths of 1 metre, 1.5 metres and 2 metres.
Base frame: The base frame of the youth goal usually consists of a high-quality and stable aluminium oval profile measuring 100 x 120 millimetres. A rectangular profile with 80 x 60 millimetres can also be used. However, this is mostly used for smaller goals such as recreational goals and mini goals.
Anti-tip device: Mobile youth goals in particular must be equipped with an anti-tip device to ensure the safety of the players and others involved. For this purpose, earth spirals and earth nails can be used on the one hand. On the other hand, the elegant artec® anti-tip device with wheels and integrated weights can be used for soccer goals. In addition to stabilising the soccer goal, this enables the goal to be moved easily on the field either transversely or longitudinally.

Youth goal with goal reduction
a goal that suits your taste
The technical features just mentioned can almost all be combined with each other, so that we can build you a goal just the way you want it. The goal reduction made of belt webbings or mesh fabric can also be installed in any of these youth goals. This makes it easy to reduce the size of the goal and to use it for matches and training of the F-teams.
